Dr. Bedi visited Noorul Islam in Kumaracoil, Thuckalay, district of Kanyakumari, state of Tamil Nadu in India. There he presented two workshops at the International Conference on Integration of STEM Education and Mental Health (June 20-24). The conference participants included STEM faculty (science, technology, engineering, math), Education faculty, school counselors, and students. Workshop one was entitled, “When is Alcohol or other Drug Use a Problem?” and workshop two was entitled, “What do Alcohol and other Drugs Actually Do?” and both contained hands-on activities. Both were invited invited keynote plenaries. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university was in attendance and subsequently invited Dr. Bedi to help the university create a drug use curriculum for the university. Dr. Bedi also visited nearby Excel School, a private international high school, where he delivered two lectures on setting and meeting goals for the students as well as Holy Angels school, a private international high school, where he interacted briefly with each classroom of their K-9 school and consulted with teachers on applying counselling/psychological principles for motivating students.
